Riley and Son (E) Ltd offer a full range of welding and fabrication services tailored to suit your needs. Our welders have extensive experience and are coded to B.S.E.N. 287 and 288 Standards, an copper welding to A.S.M.X 1X standard. They are certified to work on safety critical systems and pressure vessels.

One of our most recent projects has been the construction of a new tender tank for the East Lancashire Railway’s “crab” No 42698. 

Constructed from original LMS drawings, the fully-welded steel tank took around 6 weeks to construct.

Original drawings, while always helpful, are not always available. Our expert welders were able to construct this brand new hopper ashpan using just the old warped one as a template.
