45407 "The Lancashire Fusilier"

45407 is currently at the North Yorkshire Moors Railway where she is expected to stay until the 23rd of July. She will then return to our Bury base ready for the next “Cotton Mill Express” for Past-Time Rail. She has a couple of mainline charters booked in the Manchester area before heading north once again to Fort William. It is expected she will move to Fort William on Tuesday 12th August to resume Jacobite duties once again. 45407 is due to work week-on week off with NELPG K1 no 62005 for the remainder of the Jacobite season, returning south again in mid October.

Standard 4 No 76079

In early April, 76079 left our Bury base bound for the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Based in Grosmont, 76079 is seeing regular service on both the NYMR and the Esk valley line to Whitby.

It is planned for 76079 to stay at the moors until late July, returning briefly to our works for a washout and mechanical examination in preparation for the summer season’s “The Cambrian” steam services from Machynlleth to Porthmadog, and on Wednesdays and Fridays on to Pwllheli.
